ABSTRACT
Objectives: To assess the skeletal maturity at the elbow joint for a known chronological age in subjects of Bikaner region. Material & Method: The study will be performed in total, 100 healthy subjects having aged from 10 to 20 years in forensic department. The subjects will be examined clinically for recording physical parameters like height, weight and general body development. Results: In our present study observed that fusion of different ossification centres occurs one year earlier in female subjects as compared to male subject studied. Conclusion: The our study concluded that epiphyseal union around the elbow joint can be used for age estimation among the adolescents between ages of 14-16 years both for the females and males.
